Korean series and tv shows have been around for a long time, like many other series of other languages but recently came to gain a lot more popularity. It increased even more after Korean webseries and Korean movies like Squid Game and Parasite after which people started to actually notice the series and movies in the language. 

In fact, the number increased so much that Netflix gained a lot many subscribers in one quarter itself, just because Squid Game gained so much popularity, which soon became the most watched Korean series and broke every record of Netflix created by every other show. Here is a list of 10 best Korean series Netflix. 

Squid Game: 

The story revolves around many characters, although the main character being Seong Gi-hun, played by Lee Jung-jae. Seong Gi-hun, a single father and gambling player who lives with his elderly mother, is selected to participate in a series of children’s activities for a chance to win a huge sum of money. 

Accepting the offer, he is whisked away to an unknown place, where he finds himself among 456 other players, all of whom are badly in debt. The players are forced to wear green tracksuits and are constantly monitored by costumed guards in pink jumpsuits, with the games monitored by the Front Man, who wears a black mask and a black outfit. 

The participants quickly realise that losing a game results in their killing, with each death adding $100 million to the potential 45.6 billion grand prize. Gi-hun forms alliances with other players, including childhood pal Cho Sang-woo and rob Kang Sae-byeok, in order to withstand the games’ physical and psychological twists. This is one on the best Korean series.


Korean series

Hellbound is a South Korean webseries, dark fantasy, directed by Yeon Sang-ho that is based on his webtoon of the same name. It is a Netflix original film about otherworldly beings who arrive from nowhere to sentence people to Hell. It soon crossed Netflix series Squid Games records, which was released two months before this series.  This is one on the best Korean series.

Hellbound takes place entirely place in South Korea from 2022 to 2027. An extraterrestrial face known as an angel suddenly appears to deliver prophecies known as decrees that condemn some humans to Hell at a specified future moment, which could be moments or years away. Three gigantic supernatural monsters come virtually at the same moment to tear and burn a person’s body in a stunning display of force known as a demonstration.

Cult like New Truth Society and a gang like Arrowhead group both achieve influence by exploiting people’s fears. Episodes 1–3 of the six-part series follow a detective researching unexplained events, the chairman of the New Truth religious organisation, and a principled attorney. 

With the exception of the attorney, the main protagonists shift in episodes 4–6, which happen 5 years later and revolve around a television producer and his wife who must deal with the idea that their new-born son is destined for Hell. 

My Name: 

The storey follows a lady who enters a gang seeking revenge for her father’s murder before going undercover as a cop. She places her faith in a prominent gang leader — and joins the police force at his suggestion. 


Song Joong-ki stars as the main protagonist in the South Korean television series Vincenzo, also featuring Jeon Yeo-been, Ok Taec-yeon, Kim Yeo-jin, and Kwak Dong-yeon. Park Joo-hyung (Song Joong-ki) got adopted by an Italian family when he was eight years old. Later, he enters the mob and is raised by Don Fabio, the Cassano Family’s patriarch. Renamed “Vincenzo Cassano,” he goes on to become a lawyer, a mafia consigliere, and Don Fabio’s right-hand man.  This is one on the best Korean series if you love adventure comedy.

After Fabio passes, Paolo, Fabio’s biological son and the current Cassano Family head, seeks to murder Vincenzo. He flees to Seoul, where he sets out to reclaim 1.5 tonnes of gold which he assisted a recently deceased Chinese tycoon in discreetly stashing in the cellar of Geumga Plaza. 

However, a Babel Group subsidiary has illegally assumed ownership of the structure, and Vincenzo must utilise his skills to retake the building and reclaim his fortune. Among the eccentric residents in Geumga Plaza is the Jipuragi Law Firm, owned by Hong Yoo-chan (Yoo Jae-myung), with whom Vincenzo discovers he shares common interests. 

Initially, he clashes with Hong Yoo-daughter, chan’s Hong Cha-young (Jeon Yeo-been), an advocate for a competing company, but following her father’s death, she takes over the business and teams up with Vincenzo and the other residents to battle Babel Group.

Sweet Home: 

Korean series

Sweet Home is an apocalyptic horror Korean webseries netflix starring Song Kang, Lee Jin-wook, Lee Si-young, and Lee Do-hyun from South Korea. It is based on Kim Carnby and Hwang Young-Naver chan’s webtoon of the same name. Cha Hyun-soo, the lead cast leaves his home and moves into an apartment after an unforeseen family tragedy. 

Soon later, monsters began attempting to exterminate humanity. People inside the flat are imprisoned inside the building, oblivious to the fact that monsters lurk outside. Hyun-su and the other residents take cover within the tower in the intention of staying alive as long as possible. This is one on the most exciting Korean series.

Love Alarm: 

Kim So-hyun, Jung Ga-ram, and Song Kang feature in the South Korean tv series Love Alarm. Based on Chon Kye- young’s web comic of the same name, it depicts the lives of a high schooler in a society impacted by a smartphone app capable of telling them whether someone in their vicinity (ten meters) has romantic affections for them. 

Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha: 

It is a retelling of the South Korean film Mr. Handy, Mr. Hong, which was released in 2004. It stars Shin Min-a, Kim Seon-hon, Lee Sang-yi. Yoon Hye-jin (Shin Min-a), a clever and attractive city dentist, loses her job after rightly accusing the clinic’s chief doctor of exceeding patients’ treatments for profit. 

She travels to Gongjin, an exquisite coastal village, where she meets Hong Du-sik (Kim Seon-ho). Du-sik is well-liked in the area because he looks after the seniors and is not afraid to take on odd duties. By happenstance, the two people’s paths meet multiple times, and they develop feelings for one another, as Du-sik continuously bails Hye-jin out of trouble. This is one on the best Korean series if you are into feel-good stuff.


Korean series

Nevertheless, is a South Korean tv series that premiered in 2021 and stars Han So-hee, Song Kang, and Chae Jong-hyeop. Based on the popular web comic of the same name that was first released in Naver Webtoon, it follows the storey of two people who are drawn to each other but are wary of love because of previous relationships. In short, it is a classic story. 

A heartbroken woman who no continues to believe in love and a flirty man who does not want to stick to a relationship begin an unsure romance. This is one on the best romance Korean series.

Run On: 

Run-on is a romantic Netflix original Korean series from South Korea. The plot revolves around the lives of a translator and an ex-national sprinter. It discusses how they met and how their relationship developed through time. The drama’s premise is both interesting and monotonous at times. Ki Seon-gyeom, a former sprinter aspiring to be a sports agent, and Oh Mi-joo, a subtitle translator, are the main characters in Run On.  This is one on the best Korean series to binge.
