So, Vikrant and Purva meet at their school for the first time. It was love at first sight for Purva or should we say obsessed at first sight. And just like that Vikrant paid no attention to Purva which I guess became the fuel for her psychotic love.
Fast forward to when Vikrant has graduated from his college and looking for a job. Everything is going smoothly in his life, he has just graduated, has a love interest( Shikha), what could go wrong? Right? Vikrant could not have been more wrong for having this thought.
Vikrant’s father is an accountant for a famous politician, Akheraj, whose character is played by Saurabh Shukla. Purva is the daughter of Akheraj. Vikrant’s father forces Vikrant to give an interview for a job at his boss’s place.
After Purva sees Vikrant interviewing for her father, she puts in a good word for him and tells her father to hire Vikrant and make him work at her Zumba studio.
To safeguard his relationship, with Sikha, above all things, Vikrant chooses to risk Akhiraj’s and his father’s wrath by telling the politician he doesn’t want the position. When he gets to the workplace, though, he discovers something he shouldn’t have seen: Akhiraj inadvertently murdering a guy by hitting him. Vikrant is recruited by Akhiraj’s henchmen to assist them in dismantling and disposing of the body.
This starts the messy love triangle story of Vikrant, Purva, and Shikha.
Vikrant is a generally passive guy who, when he eventually decides to take control of his own destiny, makes some of the most perplexing choices this side of Aranyak.
Vikrant is the type of person who obtains all of his knowledge from Golden, his childhood best friend, which makes the information entirely rubbish or YouTube videos. He has no place in Akheraj Awasthi’s ethically corrupt world.
Vikrant does all he can to get away from Purva’s grasp, but when Shikha gets drawn into the struggle, he has no option but to confront his foes. Shweta Tripathi, on the other hand, is stuck with a reactive character who spends most of her time on the run. There are very long scenes without the presence of Shikha.
The creators of the series Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein have used the soundtrack of Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankkhein very intelligently. It is the unique name of the series which has attracted the viewers in watching the show.
I could not help myself but the story of Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein is quite similar to the popular Indian television show called ‘Beyhadh’, starring Jennifer Winget, Kushal Tandon, and Aneri Vajani.
The obsessive female lead would do anything to make the male lead fall in love with her or better yet be with her all the time.
The difference between the show Beyhadh and the Series Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein is that in Beyhadh, the character of Kushal Tandon does not know the true intentions of Jennifer Winget’s character, Maya. In Yeh kaali kaali ankhein, Vikrant knew from the time he first met Purva, yes in the school, that she is trouble, and he could not have been more right.
